Meet Dr. Blitz

Dr. Blitz graduated with a BA from Johns Hopkins University in 1991. She subsequently graduated from Columbia University’s School of Dental and Oral Surgery with her dental degree. Upon graduation she completed her Oral and Maxillofacial specialty training at the East Orange Veterans Hospital. She then obtained her Board Certification through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2002 and completed the recertification process in 2010.

For the past several years Dr. Blitz has been in private practice and hospital-based oral surgery. She has been a Clinical Associate Professor at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine for the past 18 years teaching both students and oral surgery residents. She is an attending Oral Surgeon at the Regional Craniofacial Center at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center where she also trains the Oral Surgery Residents. She has been named a “Top Doc” in New Jersey monthly magazine for the past five years.

Dr. Blitz special interests include the placement of dental implants with and without specialized bone grafting. She also is well versed in “facial rejuvenation” including the use of Juvederm and Botox.

Dr. Blitz is an active member of her community with a special interest in pediatric development and education. She was a board member of CHILD, a parent advocacy group in Verona, New Jersey for ten years and continues to work with parents of children with Special Needs.

She is married and has three children. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, swimming and yoga.
